Mrs Mammatt's final weekly home learning- Mon 13th July

We have made it to the last week of term. Well done everyone!
It been a challenging time for everyone but we've also had some really good times such as our Class One zooms and the return of some children. The weather was also quite good for a time too!

Sadly this is my last week as Class One teacher at Lamerton. My teaching role has slightly changed and I will be spending most of my working days at Gulworthy Primary school as Intervention Teacher. Mr Johnson will be taking over as of September and I'm sure he will do a great job. The good news for me is that I still get to see you all on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon when I will be teaching Art, Design Technology, Science and some PE. I shall also be taking over as 'School Council' lead in September which means that I will get to see lots of children across both schools where we will plan together lots of exciting events.

Below you will find your last weeks home learning with a 'Lighthouse' theme. All the home learning pages will be left on the website over the summer as some people have said that they would like to go back over some of the weekly learning that they have missed. Mrs Mammatt's story-time will also be left on here if you fancy listening to one of my favourite stories at bedtime!

Good luck to our Year 2 children moving on to Class Two in September. We are only next door so remember to come and see us as often as you like, we are still here to support you if you have any worries or would just like a friendly chat.

I do hope that you keep safe and well over the summer. Remember that your mental health and happiness is the most important thing that you can ever look after.
I thought it would be useful to leave you with a few positive mindset quotes as well as some useful practical tips if things get a little tricky at any point as I appreciate that 6 weeks is a long time.

Take care everyone

  • In the film, the townspeople and the lighthouse keeper work together to achieve something they couldn’t do on their own. Can you think of other examples of this in stories, films or real life?
