Sports Day 2018

28th June 2018
We started the morning reflecting on the school games values. We listened to 6 children from Class 2 explain some of the values that we hope to see in sporting activity. Shortly after, we had an opening ceremony and flag parade so that everyone could see which team we were in.
We began with team games- skipping, tennis relays, javelin, under and over, circle ball throwing, hurdling and target throwing. Mrs Sterry was very impressed with the team work and respect and determination she saw.
Finally, we rounded off the morning with a sprint running race and a long distance running race. It was lovely to also see so many young children taking part in this year's toddlers race!
Congratulations to the red team who won this year's sports day by scoring more points overall. Congratulations to children in the other teams for upholding the school games values so well.
Thank you to: the PTFA for organising the refreshments, all of the parents for attending, the children for competing so well and all of the staff members for their hard work.
