Camp Kernow Science Workshop

27th January 2020
We were treated to a fantastic science workshop today, all about protecting the planet and living sustainably. We learned about the dangers of global warming, and thought really carefully about the positive impact we can have as individuals and families, by making small changes to our lifestyles. Some of these include:
  • Flying less
  • walking or cycling to school
  • growing our own fruit and veg (or buying locally grown produce)
  • playing outside rather than on tech.
During the second part of our workshop, we built wind turbines and tested them using a voltmeter. Using just a small turbine, we were able to produce as much 'clean' energy as an AA battery. Thank you Camp Kernow!
