Cross country season

8th February 2020
Our cross country season has taken off with a flying start. 9 of our enthusiastic children have been training on the Moor after school on Thursdays in preparation for the annual series of 3 cross country races. We have been delighted with the amount of effort and enjoyment they have brought to this activity; each runner has improved on their initial times over the hard and hilly course, as well as finishing each session with a set of hill reps.
The training has definitely boosted their confidence in advance of the first race, and we look forward to seeing them compete next week.
We nearly managed to escape the rain today for the first cross country competition of the year! The children were excited to start and certainly should be really proud of their achievements. The atmosphere was super! Thomas was at the front of the pack and came an amazing 2nd in a very fast Y3 and 4 boys race. A huge well done to all the children for taking part - we are so proud of you.
