Doctor visit- Science 'humans'

Today Dr Evans came to visit Class One. We discussed what it was like to go to a doctors surgery and who we might expect to see there such as nurses and receptionists.
We talked about why we might need to go and see a doctor and shared our experiences such as having tummy pains, having a cold, an itchy rash or swollen tonsils.
Dr Evans showed us which instruments she might use to see what is wrong with our body such as a stethoscope for listening to our lungs and heart beat.
We then acted out scenarios where we might hurt ourselves such as falling over and twisting an ankle. Dr Evans showed us how to tie a bandage and make a sling support for our arm.
Next term we are very excited about creating a doctor surgery in our role play area!
