Climbing at the Barn

We are loving our climbing lessons at The Barn. The instruction provided has been excellent, with quick progression in learning a range of skills- from putting the harnesses on independently to tying a double figure of eight and stopper knot, traversing, bouldering and belaying.
Today, lesson 4, was the best yet, with two of our children conquering their fear of heights to climb onto the top of the boulder. Once they had done it once, there was no stopping them. As ever, they had the full support and encouragement of the rest of the class, with all of us recognising that this is a real learning experience- having the resilience to push through the hard times in the quest to master new skills.
