Welcome to Lamerton Primary School

WELCOME
Thank you for visiting the website of Lamerton C. of E. Primary School. We hope that you find it interesting.

Lamerton is a small village school of just 49 pupils, set in the Devon countryside, with views of Dartmoor from our playground.
Our school was built in Victorian times, but has been modernised inside so that it is bright and spacious. We have two main classrooms, a library and resources room, and of course an officeand staffroom. The playground is big enough for a netball court with room to spare, and we have a brilliant climbing frame at one side, with a soft rubbery surface underneath in case someone falls.
Because we are so small at Lamerton, we make a special effort to go out and visit places, and invite interesting people to come into school and talk to us about different things.

Being small has many advantages when it comes to taking part. Lamerton School is hot on sport and everyone has the opportunity to take part in matches and games.  We compete in football, netball, tag rugby and cross-country against other small schools in the area..
Everyone connected with Lamerton School thinks it is a very special school. With so few children in the school, the staff really know each child well and make each one feel an individual. Although the classes have mixed ages, they are small enough so that each child has help where and when he or she needs it. The whole school community tries hard to look after each other and everyone is very friendly.

We hope that you can get the feel of our school from our website. If you would like to visit or have any queries please contact the school either by post, telephone or e-mail.
